Four-year-old Jimmie and his father are forced to leave their home in Sweden. Told from a child's perspective, the story shows fragments of the refugee family trip. Jimmie and his dad travel on black waters, wander along railway tracks, and rely on the kindness of strangers to reach their goal – a place where they could feel safe. Taking place in several unnamed countries, their journey begins in the north of Europe, and ends at the Mediterranean.
Jesper Ganslandt (Falkenberg, 1978) is a self-taught Swedish director and writer with a successful international career.
