Slovenia, 2009. The economic crisis has just started and many people have lost their jobs. Alija Bašić, one of many immigrant workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, works for a mining company that is laying off its employees and selling off its assets. Alija is sent to check one of the mines closed down after World War II, and write a report on its state. But as he enters the shaft, Alija finds that the darkness of the mine hides a dangerous secret.
Hanna Antonina Wojcik Slak (Warsaw, 1975) graduated in directing for film and TV from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
